1. Who this policy applies to
Loqsy is intended for users in India with a valid +91 mobile number.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use Loqsy.
This policy applies to the Loqsy app, website, support channels, and related services.
2. Information we collect
Account and verification information, including your phone number, OTP verification status, device session, and login activity.
Profile information you provide, such as first name, last initial, date of birth, age, gender, interest preferences, height, work, education, city, community, religion, dating intention, lifestyle choices, pets, interests, prompts, bio, and photos.
Contact information if you choose to sync contacts, including contact names and phone numbers uploaded from your address book. Phone numbers are normalized and converted to one-way hashes for matching and trusted-circle features; contact names may be stored to support those features.
Discovery and activity information, including likes, passes, super likes, matches, chat messages and shared chat media, chat metadata, filters, reports, blocks, profile edits, and app interactions.
Location information if you allow it or enter it, including precise device coordinates, city, and derived distance used for discovery. We do not show your exact coordinates to other users.
Device and technical information, such as app version, device type, IP address, crash logs, diagnostics, security events, and performance data.
3. How we use information
To create, authenticate, protect, and maintain your account.
To verify phone numbers, enforce +91 and 18+ eligibility, prevent fake accounts, and reduce spam or abuse.
Discovery and related social actions require completed onboarding and a valid date of birth indicating that you are at least 18 years old. Requests that do not meet these requirements are not allowed.
To build and display your profile, upload and process photos, and show profile completion.
To suggest profiles using preferences, city or nearby context, shared interests, mutual signals, and discovery filters.
To enable likes, super likes, matches, chats, notifications, block and report tools, and safety features.
To provide customer support, process feedback, debug issues, improve reliability, understand feature performance, and comply with applicable law.
4. Trusted circles and mutual signals
Loqsy uses contact and mutual signals to make discovery feel less random and more trust-aware.
Other users may see mutual previews, counts, or limited initials depending on the product flow, but we do not reveal private contact names, phone numbers, or contact details before a match unless you choose a setting that allows it.
Contacts are not used to message people on your behalf.
You can choose not to sync contacts, though some trusted-circle discovery features may be limited.
5. What other users can see
Other users may see profile details you make visible, such as photos, first name and last initial, age, city or approximate location context, bio, prompts, interests, height, work, education, lifestyle fields, dating intention, and optional fields you choose to show.
Your phone number, OTPs, exact coordinates, private contact details, and hidden optional fields are not shown to other users.
Religion, community, and similar sensitive profile details are shown only according to your choices and product visibility controls.
6. Likes, super likes, matches, and chats
Likes and super likes are anonymous unless both users mutually match.
When there is a mutual match, chat unlocks and Loqsy may show match context, including whether a super like was used.
Chats and related metadata may be processed to deliver messages, prevent abuse, investigate reports, and comply with law.
7. Photos, prompts, and content
You control the photos, prompts, bio, and other content you add to Loqsy.
Photos and content are visible inside Loqsy according to product design and your available settings.
We may process, resize, store, review, restrict, or remove content to operate Loqsy, improve safety, enforce our Terms, or comply with law.
8. Reporting, blocking, and safety
We treat reports confidentially and do not identify the reporter to the reported user through the app. Report information may be shared with authorized reviewers, service providers assisting with safety, or authorities where legally required.
Blocking is designed to hide profiles and chats from each other where technically possible. While either participant has blocked the other, neither participant can send new messages or edit existing messages in that conversation.
Unmatching hides the conversation from both participants. Former participants can still report a past interaction through the app, including when the other account is unavailable, while the relevant interaction remains available for reporting.
Reports may include profile, chat, activity, and content context needed to review the issue.
You may remove a past interaction from your own report list without submitting a report. This does not delete retained safety information or affect the other participant's ability to report. Safety information is retained according to this Privacy Policy.
We may use automated systems, manual review, trusted signals, and service providers to detect abuse, fraud, unsafe behavior, or policy violations.
9. How we share information
With other users, only as needed for discovery, profile viewing, matching, chat, mutual previews, and visibility features.
With service providers who help us operate hosting, storage, OTP and SMS, push notifications, analytics, security, moderation, support, and app infrastructure.
With courts, law enforcement, regulators, or government authorities where required by law or necessary to protect users, rights, safety, or the service.
In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, or business transfer, subject to appropriate safeguards.
We do not sell your phone number, private contact details, or contact list.
10. Storage, retention, and account deletion
We keep information while your account is active or as needed to provide Loqsy, protect users, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, maintain security, and comply with law.
Deletion and recovery. When you request account deletion, Loqsy immediately deactivates the account, removes it from discovery, and signs it out. You may recover the same account by signing in with the same phone number before the recovery deadline shown in the app, normally 30 days after the request. Signing in during that period cancels deletion. Once permanent deletion processing begins, the account cannot be recovered.
Permanent deletion. Permanent deletion is scheduled to begin after the recovery period. Completion may occur later while required database and file cleanup is retried. A deletion is marked Completed only after the promised ordinary account, profile, activity, and file cleanup succeeds. Completed does not mean that the limited records described below have been removed before their applicable retention periods end.
Private completion confirmation. Authentication is invalidated as soon as the deletion request is accepted. The signed-out confirmation screen then provides a private status link that you can copy or save. Anyone with this link can view its limited deletion status, so keep it private. Loqsy does not send an SMS or email completion notice. Viewing the link never restores the account or cancels deletion. The link remains available while deletion is scheduled or processing and expires 30 days after deletion is completed or cancelled.
Limited retained records. We separate retained records from the deleted profile and restrict access according to purpose. Our current retention schedule is:
- Reports, moderation decisions, and related limited evidence: until the documented deadline for the report's approved outcome and safety category.
- Information and associated records for content removed or disabled in circumstances covered by applicable intermediary rules: 180 days, or longer when a court or lawfully authorized government agency requires it.
- Covered registration information: 180 days after account cancellation or withdrawal, with longer preservation where legally required.
- Security and operational security logs: for the period required by applicable security and legal obligations.
- A minimal deletion-status record: until 30 days after deletion is completed or cancelled.
Active investigations, documented preservation obligations, and legal holds may require specific records to be kept longer. Reopening a report does not automatically restart its full retention period, and release of a legal hold does not automatically grant a new period. The longest applicable rule is applied only to the specific covered record, not automatically to the whole account. When no other justified exception applies, eligible records are removed after their applicable deadline. Access to retained records is restricted to authorized personnel according to purpose.
Backups and service providers. Some information may remain temporarily in protected backups or with service providers under documented recovery, security, legal, and operational obligations. Backup copies are not returned to ordinary use after account deletion, and restored data must undergo deletion checks before application access is permitted.
11. Your choices and controls
You can edit many profile fields, photos, prompts, interests, filters, visibility choices, and notification settings in the app.
Some fields, such as date of birth, may be locked after onboarding for safety and eligibility reasons.
You can choose whether to sync contacts, allow location access, enable notifications, use app lock, report users, block users, or delete your account.
You can manage app permissions, including contacts, photos, notifications, and location, through your device settings.
12. Your privacy rights
Subject to applicable Indian data-protection law, you may request access, correction, update, deletion, grievance redressal, withdrawal of consent where applicable, and other rights available under law.
Some requests may be limited by safety, fraud prevention, legal obligations, technical feasibility, or the rights of other users.
To exercise privacy rights, contact us using the details below.
13. Security
We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect user data, including phone verification, access controls, monitoring, and encryption where appropriate.
No digital service is 100% secure. Keep your device, phone number, OTPs, and account access safe.
If you believe your account or data has been compromised, contact us promptly.
14. Children
Loqsy is for adults only. We do not knowingly allow users under 18 to create accounts.
If we learn that a user is under 18, we may remove the account and related information, subject to safety and legal retention needs.
For Loqsy's Child Safety Standards, including reporting and contact details, see the Child Safety Standards page.
15. International processing
Loqsy and our service providers may process information in India or other locations where infrastructure, support, security, or storage providers operate.
Where information is processed outside India, we use safeguards intended to protect it consistently with this policy and applicable law.
16. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as Loqsy evolves or as legal, safety, or operational requirements change.
Material changes will be communicated in the app or through another reasonable notice. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
